Who believes in you?
Finding people that believe in you and your mission is incredibly important. I've been overwhelmed with support in these early stages of Mend the Gap which has been such a lift to my spirit. So many people have reached out to me with supportive and encouraging words and I can't tell you how appreciative I am. Some of these people I've known for decades, others for only a few years, while others I've only just met. It's quite remarkable the ways that doors open to new, meaningful relationships when you put yourself out there with a clear mission.
My time in California has been incredibly valuable and an exciting step in the growth of Mend the Gap. We are a company that uses AI to do good and important work designed to support the tens of millions of students who need a more individualized, prescriptive learning and social experience. I've talked with parents who have concerns about the experience their children have in school and industry experts in AI, machine learning, educational technology, and big data, and they are all keen to support the work of this company.
I just finished my panel on AI for good with a small group of excellent professionals in health care, edtech, and AI advocacy and it was a blast. I'll share more about the panel in coming days and hope to be able to share some photos with you from the event.
For now, I encourage you to reflect on who in your life believes in you. Who is there to push you, support you, and call you when they think you need a friend? Who in your life looks at what you are doing and jumps up and down for you? I appreciate all the love and support that I've been getting these days and it is fueling me to do more great work.
